The Woodlands Yoga Studio is an inclusive community to provide students of all ages, levels and movement desires with the opportunity to discover whole-being wellness.

Designed to alleviate the stress of daily life, our classes focus on the physical, mental, and spiritual teachings of yoga. Whether you’re seeking an intense hot power flow or a gentle non-heated chair yoga sequence, we offer a range of classes that meet every body’s needs and abilities. 

Our priority is helping you feel YOUR best. We focus on four key principles – flexibility, mobility, strength, and relaxation – to help you feel physically and mentally whole. Our sincere hope is that your practice follows you off the mat and into your daily life. 

We’re not just a studio, but a team of yoga educators that thrive on helping our students enrich their practices through teacher training, master classes, and specialty workshops. We’re home to some of the most experienced and highly-trained instructors in our area.

Why Yoga?

Yoga helps facilitate the mind body connection. Moving in unison with your breath and bringing awareness to your breathing patterns. This movement helps to open the body up through relaxing the muscles, building strength, and massaging the muscle facia. 

Yoga also helps to find balance, reduce stress and anxiety, improve cardio, respiratory health, and help to manage a myriad of other health conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are new to yoga you must have a lot of questions. For your convenience, we have gathered the most frequently asked questions about our studio and the yoga experience.

General

We are happy to offer both. We have a heated room upstairs in our upstairs area and a non-heated room in our downstairs area. 

We have the top of the line Far-Infrared heaters. Far-Infrared heat is the most therapeutic heat for the body. 

Infrared heat helps to increase flexibility, increase circulation, detoxify the body, improve weight loss, relieve pain. 

 

Level 1: Gentle, All Levels Yin, All Levels Restorative, & All levels Stretch.

These are all perfect starting places. 

Level 2: Basics

Here you will build confidence, strength, and endurance in all of the basic postures. 

Students must be able to push up to a Down Dog posture. 

Chair Yoga: Gives the opportunity to do yoga without getting onto the floor.

Senior Yoga: This class includes standing, seated & reclined exercises with very little pressure onto the knees or wrists. 

Registration

You can go through our website by using the “Book A Class” button at the top of the page in the navigation bar.

You can also download the The Woodlands Yoga Studio App from the App Store or Google Store. From there, you can choose a package and then use the buy button at the bottom of the app.

Before Class

If you have a mat at home, feel free to bring your own. You can also bring a yoga blanket, blocks, and yoga strap. 

If you don’t have any of these items don’t worry. We have community mats and props available at no charge. 

No, not at all. Many people come to yoga to find more flexibility.

Not at all. We will walk you through all the yoga poses. Many teachers will use the English and Sanskrit names.

Ann is by far the best yoga teacher I've encountered. She genuinely cares for all her students, paying close attention to their movements and ensuring they stay on the right path. I appreciate her corrections, as they not only enhance my workout but also deepen my yoga practice significantly. Thanks to Ann's dedicated focus on her participants, I feel incredibly confident about pursuing a professional yoga career. The facility is also exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

I’ve been to several yin yoga classes here (including 1 hot yin yoga class) - both instructors I’ve encountered have been fantastic - very knowledgeable and soothing - really good at giving modifiers to make sure you don’t hurt yourself but can still get the good stretch in. I’m definitely going to keep coming back!!

LOVE it here! I compared several places but this is the only one that felt like an authentic yoga practice and not a gym. Studio is very zen! So many class options and times. Instructors are wonderful! ❤️

Traditional yoga studio to help you actually build strength and flexibility. I go to Ann's classes, and I love how she gets to know everyone in her class. Along with pushing everyone to get the most of her class, she also gives personal direction.

Since April I have been driving to Houston every three weeks. Each visit to Houston I made at least one visit to The Woodlands Yoga Studio. The first visit I knew I would be back every time. A welcoming environment honoring yoga with a connection to its roots which is alway nice to find. I had the pleasure of experiencing almost a handful of instructors in these visits and they were all a delight in their own way bringing something unique to each practice. Traveling or looking for a home studio I HIGHLY recommend. Thank you WYS, my visits to Houston were lighter and I looked forward to making into the studio every time. Until we meet again… ✌🏻💜

Love this studio. I move a lot and have practiced at many studios, but this one provides the best family atmosphere, variety of class types/instructors at a fair price. Classes are longer than average and attendees arrive early to minimize distractions. Currently taking Yoga- Prenatal with Radhika. Attending regularly has helped reduce back pain, increase confidence, and prep my body/breathing/mind for labor!
